welcome to my creative space, my name is Bailey Muñoz

I have been creating since the time I can remember, always having a huge fascination for colors and the flora world we live in. Being born and raised in Anchorage Alaska I have always loved the outdoors, in turn much of our natural world here inspires my creativity.

I spend a lot of my free time adventuring in the beauty of this state, practically living outside during our short yet incredible summers. My other free time is spent growing plants, identifying them, learning about them and foraging. All of the flowers, plants, and fungi I use in my work has been hand picked by me somewhere out in the wild on one of my adventures. Deep in a forest, on top of a mountain or next to the ocean. Everything you will find in my work is as wild as it can get and part of this glorious land I get to call home. I’m thrilled I get to share this beauty with you!

Things to note about the resin pieces and sun catchers!

Every plant, flower, shell, drift wood, bone, mushroom, pine cone, etc. that is used in my pieces have been hand picked by myself when I’m out adventuring and exploring!! These plants have been found deep in the mountains, on the bed of a forest, next to the ocean - in the wildest places across Alaska. I naturally press all the plants either in books or my flower presser. I never over pick one area and always ask before I take anything. Respecting Pachamama and all that she gives.

Because I do not use any preservatives some wild plants and flowers will fade with time. Some faster than others. If you want to slow the roll on this natural process I suggest storing jewelry in a dark place. For wall pieces and sun catchers I suggest putting on a wall instead of in a window or a window that doesn’t receive direct sun light all day long!

It is also very common for your natural oils to get on the resin and make it look cloudy, just use a damp wash cloth and wash off with soap to get it back to normal!
